License Available in the Marketplace
When you buy an item, you in fact are buying a license to use that item (except when you buy a service). The license you buy grants you to have certain rights to use the item in certain ways.
For many projects our Regular license will be sufficient. However sometimes you may need to buy an Extended license or in other times you may want to just buy an item on its minimum price. These are only available if the author has opted-in.
In summary the different licensing options could be read below.
Standard license
The Regular license grants you a non-exclusive, non-transferrable right to use an item within a project of your own or on behalf of a client. For example, you could use an item purchased under a regular license in a website, a presentation, a promotional video, a poster or a free game.
For web content a regular license is suitable for use on a single domain or single subdomain or single directory. For most buyers the regular license is sufficient.
The thing you cannot do is offer the item up for resale either on its own or as part of a product. So you can use the item in a website, but not in a web template that you plan to sell.
Extended license
This license is more expensive than the regular license. An extended license grants you to use an item in something that will be sold. For example, you could use an item bought under an extended license in an App for sale, in a business ID card for sale, or on a web application for sale.
An extended license is also appropriate for people looking to offer a web template to many users such as on multiple domains, subdomains or sub directories.
The thing you cannot do is to resell the item by itself. You may only incorporate the item into a larger work that is then sold.
The original item will always remain the property of the author.
Subscription license
To give more options for potential costumers, Author could opted-in his/her license using a membership subscription-based type. Subscription-based allows you as a buyer to get items at its minimum price. For example author may opted in to have 2 days subscription for only $5 and after 2 days period you will no longer get support or upgrade for that item.
The Subscription-based license grants you a non-exclusive, non-transferrable right to use an item within a project of your own or on behalf of a client. So the only different from this type with the Reguler license is on the period of time you can access the item download page and support for that item.
Subscription license is GPL compatible, which is mean authors can use this type of license for their GPL product and taking money from providing support and updates.
