When a news story appears on the mini-feed, is it possible to have a hyper link to the news category it is from?

Yes it's possible. Because a lot of request I saw for this feature to be adapted, let me tell you this, if I have a permissions from Andy, I will update this minifp ASAP also add another features so minifp will be more powerful. I hope I have some time to spend on this.

Hi there.

Just wondering if you had any luck with Andy regarding this?

Also I was wondering if you know if it is possible to use mini front page on other pages of a website. For example, we have a section where advertisers can sell their products and it would be really useful if we could have the corresponding news sections on the relevant product pages.
Your help is much appreciated.

what Joomla version do you use this minifp on?

Regarding your 2nd Q, yes that's possible. Just publish your minifp to your advertiser section and use an appropriate article section/category item(s).
