Travis Hale There is a whole heap of the site i am looking at changing from the look to the functionality. Being a very dynamic site i need to spend considerable time on streamlining the user interface so that most people can come for what they want and need easily, whilst still having a professional and simple site.

Amongst the 1000's of things i want to change is defenatally the look, it needs alot more pictures and the likes to make it more catchy since at the moment it is a little bit plain.

But answering the questions about the Facebook Application, i posted a project for it on Joomlancers, and in this case it was undertaken by cncsoft who i was very impressed with. Their site is cncsoft-inc.com

The idea behind the Facebook application is essentially to bring more traffic to the site, and to also replicate some of the features of the site across to face book. My site is based on alot of components being Community Builder, jReviews and more. So what the Facebook application does is shows the 4 most popular CB members, much like the joomla superthumb module does. Which i thought was a nice touch as it allows members to be rewarded for being active in the community by showing up on facebook and getting more traffic to their pages (which will have a Adsense revenue share feature soon). In addition it also shows the most popular items from jReviews, as well as replicating one of the jReviews My Favorites features, which is where when you are logged into the site you can favor an item, it may be a book, or cd or whatever, that then goes into your favorites which shows up on your profile. It is essentially like sharing your favorite items with your friends maybe for a birthday or something, anyways the facebook item lets people share their favorite items with their friends on facebook as an application, you can show your friends what you want for your birthday or christmas through that, instead of having to give them a link to your profile page etc... they just look at your face-book profile which can have the app on it.

If you have any questions please feel free to ask away, i am happy to answer as much as i can about the ideas etc. now i just need to improve on the traffic to my site and i will be set.

Travis Hale Thanks for the reply, it is most appreciated. In terms of graphics on the frontpage what do you suggest? Something like product pictures with Frontpage Slideshow or something like that or am i on the wrong track?

Check back in the next few weeks as there should be a heap more content!
Andy Sikumbang Nice website you have travis I think facebook aplication is a good idea to atrract more extra traffic to www.reviewyou.com.au
My only suggestion is maybe you need to place more atrractive / eye catching graphic/banner on your frontpage to make it more attractive and catch more user at the first sight
Good luck with your website
