It does not seem important which template You use, any blog can be good. It is rather more important which Joomla You have: J1.0.xx or J1.5.x For J1.5 there is much less blogs. But for the old Joomla try Mojoblog. Very good. It is a Wordpress built into Joomla. Besides You can search Joomla Extensions website and there in the tab "blogs" find all possible blogs for Joomla.
