Hey guy's I am having a problem installing the Quickstart package, when i run the installer and chmod all the files, refreshing the page gives me an error.


Am I doing something wong?

And do I need to install joomla first and then proceed with the Quickstart upload and installation.

this was supposed to be a urgent question

thanks guys i sorted the problem out .....

Quoting my errors to all the newbies, so that they don't face this installation problem

I uploaded the pack, unzipped it and ran the installation, when it said (configuration.php)is un-writable

this is what i did

I renamed the file configuration.php-dist to configuration.php

which is absolutely wrong, what you should do is -

Continue with the process and eventually in the end you get a code which can be chmoded and uploaded as configuration.php

So in short -

1. Upload the downloaded QuickStart .zip to your server
2. Use your file manager to unzip it.
3. Click www.yourdomain.com.installation.
4. Follow the installation (Don't make that config.php mistake )
5. In the end you get a configuration.phjp code, make a PHP file and upload it to your server.
6. CHMOD it

and you're done
