yes I think so. But as far as I am aware I have added a default image but i still get this error :

I only seem to get this error when I try to submit articels via ja submit component.

after haveing read through the posts again in detail that does apear to be the problem. I have added my own path as so but this is still not getting loaded.
$default_image_path = "/images/stories/noimage.jpg";

How about write permission issue for this default image or folder?

The write permissions are ok, I think it might actually be a ja submit problem after all. because if I try to submit content and leave out all the images somehow two images that dont exist appear in the backend conent item editor images tab. The two are users/||right||1|| and the same left. If I removethem from the active image section the default in loads in minfrontpage without a problem.

I've tried it using JA Submit 2.2.0, and the image I've attach for the article works fine on minifrontpage. And then I also tried to remove that image from the backend, and the default image also load fine.
What version of JA Submit you used?
