hello,
i've got problem with that.
if i move this to <head> section:

something is wrong and styles are not applyed. should i add something else ? am i missing something ? it's only loading style.css , not style2.css for example. please help

Yes because there's no $tab_template variable on there, so it will leave blank that's why you won't get style2 or style3 for example.

thanks for quick answer.
so is there a possibility to put those variable in index.php in order to make this stylesheet work like it was in mod_joomtabs.php file ?

can it be done ?
or do i have to link all stylesheets of style1,2,3,4,5etc.css in <head>?

You can just define that variable on your template index.php file to your preferred style, like this for example,
