Kwick menu open in new window??? 8 Months ago
Hi,
I have KMenu running on my site and it looks great. I would like to know how I can configure the menu so that the links open in a new window, everytime when we click on the images of the menu.

Anyone knows how?

Hi,

Just edit the file and in each link set or change the target so it become:

TARGET="_blank"

OK Ricardo,

just resolved it.
It is the mod_kwick_sliding_menu.php file in folder modules.

Almost at the end, the instruction for link 1 is:
<li ><a href="<?php echo $menuurl1; ?>" class="kwick opt1"><span><?php echo $menutitle1; ?></span></a></li>

and I changed it adding TARGET="_blank"
like this:

<li ><a href="<?php echo $menuurl1; ?>" TARGET="_blank" class="kwick opt1"><span><?php echo $menutitle1; ?></span></a></li>

Same for the rest of them, and it woks nice.

Thanks Ricardo

well, the links work fine, but there is a minor problem. After cliking a menu_image, that image stays expanded (stretched) instead of going back to the original position. Shame. I was happy about the solution. But I think it is more important to have the menu go back to its original position. The users can always click with the right button of the mouse and choose " open ina new window"

But if anyone can fix that little bug, I'd love to be able to open links in a new windows without loosing menu features.
