Hi Baggeler, You just need to publish the module in any module position and assign it to all pages.
I have entered your administrator page and publish the module in debug position. Please check ;)

Oh, yes, I just saw this and yes thanks it appearedd! I need to replace the guy on right side but I gues I can put this setting somewhere in module config, thanks!!

HOWEVER, now I just started testing and wanted to send a message same like a visitor would and to y huge surpise I was not able to ht but instead it opens web.Whatsapp application trying to reinstall on my system :-O ??

Beside the fact that I already have webwhatsapp using in my browswer, I would expect user to be able to chat in my site windown without leaving my site, am I wrong? Is this the way you designed the app or is some config wrong?

Hi Baggeler, Yes it is the way the module designed, and that is the only way WhatsApp provided so there's nothing much we can do about that.
WhatsApp will decide how it will handle chat request from a website. If the visitor open the website using a smartphone then it will open whatsapp app directly. But if the visitor open the website using browser then whatsapp will forward the request to their web based app.

Ooh I see, so basically the best approach would be to configure the module to appear on mobile only and use some other method, e.g. Facebook messenger or something else on the desktop to avoid that behaviour which in my view is very annoying for the user...
Do you have any better suggestion?

Is there any easy way to combine this whatsapp module with the simple floating button module and have it as one of the buttons but also add multiple other options like Messenger, Telegram etc so user can really choose his preference chat...?

Also I am just thinking loud and sharing my 5 cents worth of ideas...

Wouldnt it be possible to have just something like a miniature version of the webwhatsapp inside the chat possible? Basically all same as the big one, user also needs to register into by scanning the code just the same as he needs to do on any other device. But then, in this window he could chat directly without leaving the site...

Also, what really perturbed me at first when I was surprised by the modules behaviour was the fact that it
    a) did not has the option to say something like "Transferring your chat to a safe connection" (or someting else configurable) in order to prepare user and make the process more natural...
    b) My site tab was REPLACED by whatsapp tab instead of (default) option to open ANOTHER NEW tab or window and keep my site untouched...

At least this option would make the currently unexpected and brute change process more seamless and user-friendly.

What do you think about this?

I'm not sure about that, but I think the current module workflow is pretty common nowadays. People usually already know that they will be forwarded to the whatsapp web page when there is a whatsapp web chat function on a website.

Unfortunately, there is no easy way for that. You will need to modify the module for that purpose.

    WhatsApp does not allow this.

As I mentioned above, the flow is controlled by whatsapp so there's nothing much we can do about that. But I think the flow is considered a common flow, as alot of websites uses the same flow.

I understand most of it now and can live with it but I think should be quick and easy for you to
    A) add a configurable message to appear in chat just shortly before opening whatsapp and
    B) open the whatsapp in SEPARATE tab or window if on desktop instead of overriding my site and visitor loosing my site in his browser! I believe this is rather a bug than common and definitely not imposed by whatsapp but in this case the way how you call/open the link to them...

    Kind regards

I'm not sure about that. Adding a stopper/blocker is just adding unnecessary layer that slowing down the process and make the website feel slow. It may feel good at first, but over time it will become annoying.

the module has a setting for this purpose that you can change in the backend page
