How to add a module into Module in Modal

I just purchased extension and The documentation at first glanced looked promising but there is no information on how to add Joomla Module to Module in Modal.

Please advise as to how this is done.

I revised the type of button saved

    2. edited the custom quote Module and added the Modul in Module labeled Big Button Test

    3. Added the new Module in Modal module to the custom Quote module using the module name Big Button Test

    4. saved and nothing!

Ah I see. Glad you managed to find the solution.

It would be nice if we did not need to assign the Module_In_Modal button to a specific template positon this would resolve the issue I was having

Yes you can. You can change the module trigger type to 'Button Click' then put the code
    <div class="mim-open-button">Open Modal</div>
anywhere, can be inside your custom module, article or template code.

I found a solution that will allow me to added a Module in Modal button inside a Custom Joomla Module (not template position) then added the Module-In_Modal button to the Custom Module. is it perfect probably not but it works

    I have a question

Is it possible to assign the Modal button into an existing custom module without having the Modal button assigned to a template position.

please take a look at my dev site right side the Modal Button is assign to right and I was able to place the Modal button into an existing module and it works but If I remove the Modal Button assign position Right save and refresh browser the Modal button inside the custom module disappears too?

You don't need to click on that Select button.

Just type any of word you want on that field then click Save button on the top of page. That will make a new custom module position, without affecting module position that your template have.

Sorry to make it confuse you, but we use standard joomla module position picker's field to display list of available module positions, but that field also allows you to add a new one without affecting your built in template's module position.

Programatically, indeed it's possible to directly choose the module directly instead of using module position, but we have tried it, and we decide it's better to use module position because chosing the module directly potentially creates new other issues such as it will ignore the module parameters etc

I tried this again and it make no sense I am have to assign template module position...this make no sense Please see attached images

Image A shows user: only a few but non of the 12 custom modules I created.
    Image B shows template postions

This is clearly not doing what it is advertised to do,

Your documentation needs a lot of work and maybe rename your plugin to Template Module Positions in Modal

I really should not need to spends 6 hours to try and get this extension to work when it's clearly not designed to function the way iit is advertised.

I already use JSN Uniforms but your plugin Module in Modal does not recognize modules only template module positions which is mis-leading I am requesting a refund.

Of course it recognizes the module, via module position, you will need a module position when publish a module, right?
If you're worry that your module position have a lot of modules published on it, then you can type the custom module position that your template doesn't have, to make sure only one module is loaded inside the module in modal's module.

Please have a look on this video to see what I mean : https://www.dropbox.com/s%2Fbsmlra0k7eszm4o%2Fmodallin.mp4%3Fdl%3D0

Hi, yes, as the name suggest, with the module you can place any module inside a modal / popup. For a contact form, you can install any contact form module (you can get one at https://extensions.joomla.org/extensions/contacts-and-feedback/contact-forms/ ) then publish it to position you have set the module in modal.
